A native of Newmarket, Ontario, Baillie always dreamed of adventures far from her Canadian small town. At university, she majored in archeological anthropology, inspired by a love of environmental science and Laura Croft movies. But her greatest journey began when the towering blonde applied for a part-time job at a boutique agency and walked out with a modeling contract instead. She challenged herself to be a fitness role model after signing with Wilhelmina in 2016. Winded after a flight of stairs, she dared herself to climb a mountain-- all 22,840-feet of Aconcagua in Argentina’s Andes Mountains, one of the world’s Seven Summits, an epic trek she wrote about for Shape. Ever driven, she ran her first half-marathon during the COVID lockdown, made masks and volunteered at the New York Food Bank. Meshing her passion for the outdoors with modeling, Baillie advocated for fair fashion in an Eileen Fisher campaign last March and hiked to raise funds for 1% for the Planet, a nonprofit founded by Patagonia CEO Yvon Chouinard that supports sustainability programs. The sky’s the limit for Baillie, who lives in Manhattan and is currently recording her first EP.
